The Eastern League began on the 16th, with Oisix playing against Yakult in Toda City, Saitama Prefecture.

Pitcher Kazuki Yabuta, who previously won the title for highest winning percentage in Hiroshima, started for Oisix, and in the first inning, despite putting out two runners, he got out of the pinch by striking out Yakult's No. 5, Kengo Ota.

Then, in the third inning, No. 1 Chinen Taisei, who was on first base with one out, hit a timely three-base hit that hit the right field line, giving them the lead.

However, they were caught up after this, and in the 9th inning with the score tied, the fourth pitcher, Kazumasa Yoshida, hit a walk-off hit, resulting in a 2-1 loss, and they were unable to win their first game.

Oisix manager Hideki Hashigami said, ``It's very frustrating. However, it will be an asset to have been able to experience the tense situation from the first game. There are things that need to be corrected, but I would like to give full praise to the players.'' He seemed to be feeling the response.

Oisix will play against Yakult on the 17th as well.
