The match between

Carlos Alcaraz

and

Alexander Zverev in the

Indian Wells

quarterfinals

had to be stopped this Thursday when only 9 minutes into the game due to the

massive appearance of bees on the court.

With the score at 1-1, the chair umpire ordered the game to stop because

the bees made it impossible to play

and were even

attacking Alcaraz,

who had to run into the locker room to avoid being stung.

"The game has been stopped due to a 'bee invasion,'" the chair umpire, who also suffered some bee attacks, said jokingly.

The images showed that

one of the cameras

high on the track was what was attracting the bees.
