Al-Ahly of Egypt, the defending champion, meets Simba of Tanzania in the quarter-finals of the African Champions League (Reuters)

Today, Tuesday, at the headquarters of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in Cairo, the draw for the quarter-finals of the African Champions League and the Confederation Cup (Confederation) was drawn.

Below is the result of the CAF Champions League draw:

  • Simba (Tanzania) – Al-Ahly (Egypt, defending champion).

  • Mazembe (DR Congo) – Pietro de Luanda (Angola).

  • Esperance (Tunisia) – ASEC Mimosas (Ivory Coast)

  • Young Africans (Tanzania) – Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa).

The first-leg matches will be held on March 29 and 30, and the return matches will be held on April 5-6.

Semi-finals:

The winner of Esperance and ASEC will meet the winner of Young Africans and Sundowns, while the winner of Simba and Al Ahly will meet the winner of Mazembe and Pietro de Luanda.

The first leg of the semi-finals will be held on April 19-20, and the return leg on April 26-27.

Result of the draw for the quarter-finals of the African Confederation Cup:

  • Modern Future (Egypt) – Zamalek (Egypt)

  • Abu Salim (Libya) – Nahdet Berkane (Morocco)

  • Rivers United (Nigeria) – USM Algeria (Algeria, defending champion)

  • Financial Stadium (Mali) – Dreams (Ghana)

The home matches will be held on March 31 and the return matches on April 7.

Semi-finals:

In the semi-finals, the winner from Rivers and USMA will meet the winner from Abu Salim and Berkane, and the winner from Future and Zamalek will meet the winner from the Financial Stadium and Dreams.

The first leg of the semi-finals will be held on April 21 and the return leg on April 28.
