Last year, the JBC (Japan Boxing Commission) asked the president of the boxing gym that hosted the match to take part in a professional boxing match held in Sapporo, where a different person than the originally scheduled Nigerian fighter appeared. We have decided to impose an indefinite suspension on the license of the promoter in charge.

In a professional boxing match held in Sapporo last May, two Nigerians living in Japan who do not have a professional boxing license participated instead of the originally scheduled two Nigerian fighters. JBC learned of this and rescinded its approval as an official match.

On the 10th, the JBC announced that Nobuaki Hiranaka, chairman of the gym that organized the match, would be subject to an indefinite suspension of his license as a promoter to manage the match.

According to the JBC, President Hiranaka refused to show the passports of the Nigerians who participated in the match, strongly requested that the match be held without confirming their identities, and after the match, he refused to show the passports of the Nigerians who participated in the match. It is said that he falsely reported to JBC that he had returned to Japan.

He added, ``An unprecedented situation has arisen in which a person who is different from the athlete who was originally supposed to participate, and whose boxing experience is unknown, is participating in the match. "We have come to a situation where the public's trust in our awareness has been seriously undermined," he said, explaining the reason for the disciplinary action.
