A farewell party for Japan Airlines High School Ishikawa, which will be participating in the Senbatsu High School Baseball Tournament that will begin at Koshien Stadium on March 18th, was held on the 9th at an affiliated school in Kai City, Yamanashi Prefecture.

Japan Airlines High School Ishikawa, located in Wajima City, Ishikawa Prefecture, was affected by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake, so the baseball team has moved its base to Yamanashi Prefecture, where the school has an affiliated school, for practice.



On the 9th, a send-off party for the Senbatsu was held at an affiliated school in Kai City, with approximately 150 students from Japan Airlines High School Ishikawa's baseball team and cheering squad gathered.



First, the selection flag, which will be raised during the entrance procession at the opening ceremony, was handed to captain Kazue Hoda.



After receiving the flag, Homura expressed his enthusiasm, saying, ``I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who supported me, and I will work hard to win the championship so that I can repay the favor at Koshien.''



After this, the cheering squad sent cheers to the baseball club.

After the ceremony, Mineta said, ``I feel like we are getting closer to Senbatsu.I want to compete at Koshien with the feelings of not only Ishikawa but also the people of Yamanashi on my shoulders.''

Coach Takashi Nakamura said, ``Although the environment and lifestyle have all changed, I feel that the players are working hard on baseball and are growing mentally.At Koshien, I want to show them that they play with all their might and never give up until the end. ” he said.



The tournament will begin on March 18th, and Japan Airlines High School Ishikawa will play their first match against Ibaraki's Joso Gakuin in the first game on the 6th day.
