Carlos Sainz will not compete in the Formula 1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. The Spanish driver suffers from appendicitis and will undergo surgery today in Jeddah, as announced by Ferrari.

"The Ferrari family wishes Carlos a speedy recovery," the Scudería wrote on its social networks.

In his place, it will be reserve driver Oliver Bearmen who will act as Charles Leclerc's partner from free practice 3 onwards.
