The National Police have arrested 39 people related to the ultra groups of Betis and Osasuna in a macro police operation that began at dawn and is expected to continue throughout the day today.

The General Police Information Commissariat, in charge of the operation, hopes that the number of detainees can rise to 70 as confirmed to El Mundo.

The police brigades of these provinces are collaborating in the device, which is being carried out in Pamplona, ​​Seville and Madrid.

The suspects could belong to the Osasuna and Betis ultra groups.

, the ultras of Betis, with far-right ideology and with numerous confrontations with the followers of Osasuna, with far-left thinking.

The arrests come as a result of a massive fight that occurred in Seville in the moments before Betis - Osasuna on October 29, belonging to matchday 11 of LaLiga EA Sports.

The events occurred on Reina Mercedes Avenue, near Benito Villamarín.

In the fight, sticks were used and flares were thrown between the radicals.

According to the Police, those arrested could be charged with rioting, injuries and public disorder.
