Barcelona's management is preparing for a pleasant surprise that will help achieve financial balance at the level of the team's accounts and may end its financial crisis in the wake of club president Joan Laporta's repeated trips to Dubai.

In recent years, Barça has been suffering from a financial crisis, which has put it under the threat of sanctions due to the rules of fair financial play, and has affected the club’s deals during the transfer market, which has had a negative impact on the club’s results, especially in European competitions.

The Catalan newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" explained in a report today, Wednesday, that the "Blaugrana" management is working to terminate a sponsorship contract that would help achieve the club's financial balance.

The Catalan club's treasury has been largely exhausted at this stage of the 2023-2024 fiscal year due to the lack of revenues coinciding with the reception of competitors at the "Montjuïc" stadium, due to the ongoing works at the level of the main stadium, "Camp Nou".

The newspaper pointed out that there are movements in various directions in order to obtain a sponsorship contract and new investors for “Barca Vision” in order to compensate for the financial gap resulting from the failure of the German company “Libro” to pay the amount of 40 million euros, according to its previous agreement with the club.

The German company had acquired a 10% stake in the club’s subsidiary, in a deal estimated at 60 million euros, of which only 20 million euros were paid, and the rest of the amount was supposed to be paid before December 31, which has not been committed to yet. .

The same newspaper, citing its own sources, confirmed that there is a state of optimism within the club about the possibility of concluding a sponsorship deal in the near future that will be very beneficial for the entity, noting that Laporta is planning to travel again to Dubai, in order to sign after completing the official negotiations.

Barca has been exposed to financial hardship in recent years due to the high salaries of former team stars, such as Lionel Messi and the trio Gerard Pique, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.
