Real Madrid's offensive star Jude Bellingham has been banned from Spain's football league for two games after his red card in the much-discussed away game at FC Valencia.

The ex-Dortmunder had protested violently to referee Jesus Gil Manzano after he ended the game during the cross before his supposed 3-2 winning goal.

Bellingham, who is having an outstanding debut season for the Royals and has scored 16 times in 22 league games, will therefore miss the home game against Celta Vigo and away at CA Osasuna.

According to Spanish media reports, Real wants to appeal the ban.

The action of Gil Manzano, who blew the whistle during Brahim Díaz's cross well into stoppage time, led to angry protests from the Madrilenians, who once again felt disadvantaged.
