The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has announced rules for athletes from Russia and Belarus, who will be allowed to participate as ``neutral individual athletes'' at this summer's Paris Paralympics, including not marching at the opening ceremony. .

At this summer's Paris Paralympic Games, athletes from Russia and its ally Belarus, which continues its military invasion of Ukraine, will not use the national anthem or flag, and will not represent their countries or regions as ``neutral individual athletes.'' Participation in team competitions or events is not permitted.

With less than six months left until the start of the tournament, the IPC announced on the 6th the rules regarding the participation of athletes and staff from both countries.

According to the rules, players and staff who are members of the military or who actively support military invasion will not be allowed to participate.

Additionally, athletes from both countries will not march during the opening ceremony.

During the Games, they are called "NPA" = "neutral Paralympic athlete," and if they win a medal, it will not be reflected in the ranking of the number of medals by country or region, and if they win a gold medal, they will sing the Paralympic Hymn at the award ceremony. I'm planning to run it.

Furthermore, participation will be reviewed by an independent review body to determine whether it is neutral.

Regarding athletes from both countries, the IOC (International Olympic Committee) has indicated that only ``neutral individual qualified athletes'' will be allowed to participate in the Paris Olympics.

However, the Ukrainian side has indicated that it may boycott the games if Russian athletes participate, and the Olympic and Paralympic Games remain in turmoil over the military invasion.
