After reviewing the video assistant referee, Kante was sent off for a violent intervention on Al Hilal defender Kalidou Koulibaly in the 66th minute.

Al Hilal controlled the match from the beginning.

While Al-Ittihad, which lacked the efforts of Karim Benzema due to injury, did not create any threat to goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Owais.

The return match will be held in Jeddah next Tuesday.
