Al-Ahly achieved 3 wins and 3 draws in the African Champions League (Al-Ahly of Egypt)

Al-Ahly of Egypt took the lead in the fourth group of the African Champions League, after defeating its guest, Young Africans of Tanzania, 1-0, in the match that brought them together - today, Friday - in the last sixth round of the group’s competitions, which also witnessed Chabab Belouizdad of Algeria beating Medeama of Ghana, 3-0.

Al-Ahly and Young Africans failed to exploit all the opportunities they had in front of the goals, so the first half ended in a goalless draw.

In the second half, Al-Ahly was able to score the lead goal through Hussein Al-Shahat in the 46th minute.

Al-Ahly raised its score to 12 points at the top of the standings, while Young Africans’ score stopped at eight points in second place.

In the second match, CS Belouizdad of Algeria defeated its guest Medeama of Ghana with three clean goals scored by Raouf Bin Ghaith, Lionel Wamba and Lamine Jallow in the 27th, 42nd and 84th minutes.

CR Belouizdad raised its score to 8 points in third place, with the difference in direct confrontations behind Young Africans, and Medeama's score stopped at four points in last fourth place.
