Al Hilal defeated Al Ittihad 3-1 (Reuters)

Al-Hilal strengthened its lead in the Saudi Roshan Football League, with its victory - today, Friday - over its guest, Al-Ittihad, 3-1, in the 22nd round of the competition.

Al-Hilal raised its score to 62 points at the top of the standings, 9 points behind Al-Nasr, which is in second place, and which stumbled in a 4-4 draw with its guest Al-Hazm yesterday, Thursday, within the same round’s competitions.

On the other hand, Al-Ittihad’s balance froze at 37 points in fifth place.

Al-Ittihad took the lead in the 12th minute through N'Golo Kante, before Al-Hilal equalized in the 39th minute through Saleh Al-Shehri.

In the 59th minute, Al Hilal scored its second goal through Malcolm, while Saud Abdel Hamid added the third goal in the 66th minute.

Thus, Al Hilal succeeded in winning the first of 3 matches against Al-Ittihad, as they meet again next Tuesday in Riyadh in the first leg of the AFC Champions League quarter-finals, and the return leg a week later in the city of Jeddah.
