Eintracht Frankfurt could probably be punished again for the behavior of its fans.

After being eliminated in the second round of the Conference League, around 150 fans of the Bundesliga soccer team crowded into the interior of the stadium after the final whistle.

On Thursday evening, Eintracht lost their home game 1-2 against Belgian champions Union Saint-Gilloise and thus missed out on a place in the round of 16.

After the game ended, Frankfurt fans left the stands and apparently tried to get to the visitors' block.

The police were able to stop the Eintracht supporters and prevent a confrontation.

The fans were asked several times over the stadium loudspeakers to leave the interior.

»Go back to your block, it's no use.

“Don’t let yourself be provoked,” the announcement said.

The incident could have serious consequences for Eintracht.

The European football association Uefa sentenced the Hessians to a fine of 50,000 euros and a suspended partial exclusion from spectators after the group game against PAOK Saloniki in November of the previous year.

Frankfurt supporters had set off pyrotechnics several times and a fan had also run onto the pitch.

Lower tier had to be closed already

Such a suspended sentence was also handed down by UEFA in 2022.

Because pyrotechnics were burned down again in the Eintracht block, the SGE had to do without some of the fans at the first international home game of the season.

The lower level of the northwest curve in the Waldstadion was closed.

It is not known when UEFA will decide on the current case.
