Luis de la Fuente will continue to lead Spain until after the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in Canada, Mexico and the United States.
The coach, who finished his current contract on June 30 in the middle of the Euro Cup, renewed this Thursday for two more years with the approval of the managing committee of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).
"The Management Commission of the RFEF has approved, in its session this Thursday, to authorize the bodies of the Federation to exercise the renewal clause included in the contract of the national coach, Luis de la Fuente. This will allow the expansion of the relationship between both parties until 2026, the year in which the next FIFA World Cup will be held in Canada, Mexico and the United States," the organization reported this Thursday.
