The men's and women's 4X100-meter freestyle relay is not a traditional advantage event for the Chinese team. The team has never won a World Championship medal in this event before.

In the preliminaries, the Chinese team was in good shape, swimming with a time of 3 minutes, 24 seconds and 47 seconds, breaking the Asian record (3 minutes, 24 seconds 67) held by the Japanese team, ranking first and advancing to the finals.

Coming to the finals, the Chinese team played in the fourth lane. Pan Zhanle, who started first, quickly established his advantage, and the Chinese team ranked first at the handover.

Wang Haoyu, who played second, helped the Chinese team consolidate its leading position and achieved a lead of nearly one person.

When Li Bingjie completed the handover, the Chinese team still held an advantage of 0.48 seconds.

Yu Yiting served as the last baton of the Chinese team in this game, and she gave up her individual competition for this reason. In the final 50 meters of sprinting, Yu Yiting withstood the pursuit of the Australian and American teams and hit the wall first.

After winning this gold medal, 19-year-old Pan Zhanle has become the "Four Golden Kings" of this World Championships. He previously won gold medals in the men's 4X100m freestyle relay, men's 100m freestyle relay, and men's 4X200m freestyle relay.

In an interview after the game, Pan Zhanle said in a low-key manner that the gold medal in the relay event was attributed to the team, "I still need to continue to work hard."

Different from the goal of many countries to use competition as training, according to Pan Zhanle, the Chinese team is eager to prove itself in Doha in this competition. "Many of the world's top players have not come. We must guard against arrogance and impetuosity and strive to achieve another breakthrough at the Paris Olympics." He said.

This is the fourth relay gold medal won by the Chinese swimming team at the Doha World Championships.
