Real Madrid draws for the fifth time in La Liga this season (French)

Rayo Vallecano forced a 1-1 draw against its guest, Real Madrid, on Sunday, in the 25th round of the Spanish Football League.

Joselu put Real in the lead in the third minute, but Raul de Tomas scored the equalizer for the hosts in the 27th minute from a penalty kick.

The Royal Club ended the match with ten players, as Dani Carvajal was sent off in the final seconds.

Each team scored one point, raising Real Madrid's lead to 62 points, compared to 25 points for Vallecano in 14th place.

The Royal Club took control of the match from the beginning and deserved to take the lead with an early goal after three minutes, scored by its striker Joselu, taking advantage of a perfect pass sent by Federico Valverde from the right side.

The referee canceled a goal for Real Madrid in the 18th minute, scored by Joselu, after referring to the video assistant referee (VAR) technology.

The referee used the VAR technique before awarding a penalty kick to Vallecano as a result of a handball against Eduardo Camavinga, with Raul de Tomas scoring the equalizer for the hosts in the 27th minute.

Vallecano almost scored the second goal in the 31st minute through a powerful shot by Oscar Trejo from outside the penalty area, but Real Madrid goalkeeper Andrey Lunin responded steadily to him.

The Royal Club responded with a dangerous opportunity when Valverde shot a powerful ball from outside the penalty area, but the ball hit the left post.

Lunin shone once again and saved Real Madrid's goal two minutes before the end of the first half, after he brilliantly blocked a powerful shot fired by Alvaro Garcia from the left of the penalty area.

Real Madrid resumed its offensive activity at the beginning of the second half, and Brahim Diaz clearly disturbed Vallecano's defenses during the first quarter of an hour.
