New form of protest at the Bundesliga game between SC Freiburg and Eintracht Frankfurt: This time not only sweets flew from the fan curves into the penalty area, toy planes also took off from the fan block, which caused the game to be interrupted. Referee Tobias Stieler then sent both teams to the dressing rooms.

But there was also play in between: with the 3:3 (2:2) both teams remain stuck in the top midfield of the table.

After the first few minutes after kick-off were marked by fan protests and the game had already been interrupted for a good eight minutes, a furious first half began with four goals.

The guests started things off in the 27th minute: Omar Marmoush confirmed his excellent form from the previous weeks with the 0-1 lead - a lead that didn't last long, however: just three minutes later, Ritsu Doan scored for Freiburg after the Eintracht goalkeeper Kevin Trapp couldn't hold on to a shot.

Then it was the Frankfurters’ turn again. Ansgar Knauff completed an exemplary counterattack by the guests after a Freiburg corner to take the lead again.

When everyone was already preparing to take the break, Frankfurt gave Freiburg the equalizer. After a sloppy pass in his own penalty area to veteran Makoto Hasebe, the 40-year-old came a step too late against Lucas Höler and only hit his foot. Vincenzo Grifo safely converted the penalty to make it 2-2.

After the break, the fans' protests ensured that the game could not be continued for a good quarter of an hour. After the restart, the Frankfurt team went ahead. Once again it was Knauff who gave Frankfurt the lead for the third time in the 70th minute.

That wasn't enough for victory again - because Freiburg's Michael Gregoritsch headed in the 3-3 in the 89th minute. In a wild final phase, both teams pushed for success, but it remained a draw.
