When the performance of "Ode to the Spirit of Chinese Sports", the finale of the "14th Winter", was completed and he returned backstage, Xu Mingchen shed tears.

As a "post-00s" majoring in broadcasting and hosting at Beijing Sport University in 2022, he has been very strong during the rehearsal of the opening ceremony of the 14th National Winter Games (referred to as "14th Winter"), "Leaving on New Year's Eve" My parents never cried during the New Year in Hulunbuir."

For the opening ceremony performance of the "14th Winter", as early as January 27 before the Lunar New Year, Xu Mingchen and other eight students from the School of Journalism and Communication of Beijing Sport University came to Hulunbuir. On February 18, during an interview at the "Fourteenth Winter" main media center, Xu Mingchen said, "This is a particularly unforgettable 20 days for our eight friends."

Many students, including Xu Mingchen, know about Hulunbuir from geography books. Tong Yi told reporters that the first thing everyone did when they gathered here was to take photos outdoors and feel the ice and snow here. "It's really exciting."

However, after the excitement, everyone soon felt the tremendous pressure. Zheng Shanshan, deputy director of the Sports Event Communication Department of the School of Journalism and Communication at Beijing Sport University, said that although the program "Ode to the Chinese Sports Spirit" had been performed before, the duration was only 5 minutes. "Now it has become more than 3 minutes, and the deletions have been huge. The eight students who recited were a little bit unable to adapt. Wang Yue even shed tears during the recitation because of poor connection."

Adjustments to the recitative version are just one of the pressures. Wang Yihan revealed that she was accidentally injured on New Year's Eve and almost couldn't perform at the opening ceremony. Looking back, she still feels scared.

Huang Zeyu told reporters that in the past 20 days, the friends were almost "frenzied" for reciting the program, and some students were talking in their sleep while memorizing the lyrics. "The most exaggerated thing is that just after New Year's Eve, several boys collectively recited "Ode to the Chinese Sports Spirit" outdoors, and their voices almost drowned out the sound of firecrackers."

They rehearsed non-stop for 20 consecutive days, and there were spectators at every rehearsal later. Their condition got better every time. "During the formal performance, everyone can quickly calm down and speak every word and make every gesture freely." Zhang Jingwang said.

Seeing the wonderful performance of eight students at the opening ceremony of the "14th Winter", Zhong Hai, deputy secretary of the School of Journalism and Communication of Beijing Sport University, was extremely excited. "I saw many people reposting the students' recitation videos. These students successfully conveyed the spirit of Chinese sports. I gave them a thumbs up."

Zheng Shanshan said that before coming to Hulunbuir, the students all wanted to taste the beef and mutton from Inner Mongolia, but in order to present a wonderful poetry recitation and intense rehearsals, this wish was never fulfilled.

"I will leave Hulunbuir on the 19th. Before leaving, I will try to help everyone achieve this small goal. Everyone is great." Zheng Shanshan's eyes got wet when she said this. (over)
