Masanao Yoshida of the Major League Baseball Red Sox arrived in Florida on the 16th, ahead of the fielders' training camp, and showed some nimble movement as he participated in voluntary training, including batting and fielding practice.

Yoshida, who is in his second year with the Red Sox, held a voluntary training session on the 16th at a campsite in Fort Myers, Florida.

Yoshida arrived at the stadium just after 7:00 a.m. and showed quick movement as he made adjustments through the same menu as during camp, including outdoor batting practice, playing catch, and fielding practice.

In addition, he was seen standing in the bullpen's box checking the pitches of pitchers who have already entered camp.

After practice, Yoshida said in an interview with NHK, ``I went back to my hometown of Fukui over the New Year holidays and took it easy, but on a scale of 1 to 1, I kept my body at a level of 3 to 4 so as not to reduce my body to zero during the off period. "When I come here, I feel like I've come home," he said of his thoughts on returning to the competitive field.

On top of that, looking ahead to his second season, he said, ``I want to improve day by day so that I can be better than who I was last year and who I was until yesterday. My number one goal is to win the World Series. "I want to stay in good condition and compete for 162 games plus 15+ playoff games, including open games," he said with enthusiasm.

Camp for the Red Sox fielders is scheduled to begin on the 19th of this month.
