Pitcher Shintaro Fujinami, who was transferred to the Major League Baseball Mets, practiced pitching in the bullpen for the first time during camp, and threw 23 pitches while his teammate, pitcher Kodai Senga, watched.

On the 17th, pitcher Fujinami entered the bullpen for the first time at the camp being held in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Pitcher Fujinami started by throwing 10 fastballs, then threw curveballs such as splits, sliders, and cut balls with good control, making adjustments by throwing a total of 23 pitches.

In the bullpen, Fujinami's teammate, pitcher Chiga, was watching the pitching from behind pitcher Fujinami, and there were times when he looked surprised when he saw the data from the measuring equipment.

In addition, pitcher Naoyuki Uesawa, who is participating in the Rays camp as an invited player, entered the bullpen for the second time at the camp site in Port Charlotte, Florida.

Pitcher Uezawa threw 30 pitches while checking data such as the number of rotations of each pitch, and his bullpen coach called out to him, "Good job!"

Speaking to an interview after practice, pitcher Uesawa said, ``I felt like I could get better at splitting if my feeling was right.I'm in a position where I have to produce results in actual play, so I'm going to keep throwing balls that I'm confident in. I just want to be able to pitch straight and split pitches well,'' he said, with his sights set on his goal of being promoted to the major leagues.
