Regarding Nihon University's American football club, which was disbanded due to a series of drug incidents, the Kanto Student Federation announced that it had withdrawn from the federation on the 15th after receiving an official report from the university that the club had been disbanded.

The university has indicated its intention to start a new club, but the federation has stated that even if it rejoins, in principle it will start at the third division.

Following a series of drug incidents in its American football club, Nihon University officially disbanded the club last month, saying it had put in place a support system for students scheduled to enroll next year and members of the club who were not involved in the incidents.

According to the Kanto Student Federation, on the 15th, they received an official report from the university about the abolition of the club, and in response to this, announced on the 15th that Nihon University had withdrawn from the federation.

The university is planning to create a new club in order to avoid putting club members at a disadvantage, and at a briefing session for club members and parents in December last year, the university announced that it would create a new ``competitive club'' that would accept students admitted through recommendation. The direction of establishing a new division has been indicated, and consideration is continuing.

According to the Kanto Student Federation, if you withdraw from the federation and rejoin, in principle you will start in the third division, and will not be promoted to a higher league for at least one year as you will be treated as an "associate member."

It is said that it will take at least five years for the team to return to the ``TOP 8,'' competing among the top teams in Division 1 of the Kanto Student League.
