The World Swimming Championships is the world's top swimming event hosted by the World Swimming Federation, representing the highest level of world swimming. The World Adult Swimming Championships is a popular mass sports event launched by the World Swimming Federation. It is held after the World Swimming Championships. Participants must be amateurs or retired athletes, register in the name of a club, and compete in groups by age. There are five events: swimming, diving, synchronized swimming, water polo, and open water swimming, with approximately 10,000 participants.
