A good final would be nothing if it was not preceded by a closing ceremony. For the CAN 2024, CAF pulled out all the stops with reggae star Alpha Blondy and the band of Tam Sir, author of the hit "Coup du hammer" which rocked the 34th edition of the Coupe d 'Africa.

The ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m. local time (7:30 p.m. Paris time), 1 hour 30 minutes before the final. As with the opening ceremony, the choice was made for brevity. It will only last about twenty minutes.

Tam Sir and Team Paya invited

Alpha Blondy, Ivorian reggae icon, will headline the ceremony. Other Ivorian artists such as Serge Beynaud, Roseline, Didi B, Tam Sir and Team Paiya were invited. The latter two were at work on “Coup du hammer”, the hit which set the mood throughout the CAN.

To underline the importance given to youth and the continuity of Ivorian culture and music, an orchestra of children and trainers will perform "Akwaba", the official song of the CAN.

The president of Ivory Coast, Alassane Ouattara who gave his name to the stadium, the president of CAF, Patrice Motsepe, the president of Fifa, Gianni Infantino, will be among the distinguished guests.

Then, it's time for the final: Ivory Coast - Nigeria.
