The club's president announced Thursday on the sidelines of the UEFA congress in Paris, "the Parc des Princes is over." Following the refusal of Paris town hall to sell him the Parc des Princes, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi wishes to move. PSG is working to find a new base.

Parisian leaders met urgently. Objective, activate the tracks to allow PSG to quickly leave the Parc des Princes. It will not be the Stade de France which is no longer for sale. The Parisian club is now planning to build an ultra-modern venue with 70,000 seats in a 20 km area around Paris and accessible by transport.

Montigny-Le-Bretonneux, option number 1

The PSG stadium could be built in Yvelines in Montigny-le-Bretonneux in Yvelines, confirms its mayor Lorrain Merckaert to Europe 1. "PSG contacted me. There is a sufficiently large plot of land located to the north of the city , not far from the National Vélodrome of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, which could accommodate the construction of a new stadium."

The city mayor remains cautious because the land is close to a natural site. Lorrain Merckaert says he is in favor of the arrival of PSG in the town, especially as it is well connected to transport, in particular the RER C, specifies the councilor of the town of 33,000 inhabitants.

PSG supporters attached to Parc des Princes but open to a move

But PSG supporters are viscerally attached to the Parc des Princes. Patrick, a fan of the red and blue club for more than 50 years and who runs a supporters' bar in the 14th arrondissement, is very angry with the Paris town hall for refusing the sale of the venue to the Parisian club. "We vibrated in this stadium and it's shameful to throw us out like that, Madame Hidalgo is rubbish! But for PSG, I will be ready for anything, even to go several kilometers away, to Montigny-le- Bretonneux, in order to attend a meeting of my favorite club", adds this supporter to the microphone of Europe 1.

A move that will take time

Patrick and the Parisian fans will go to the Parc des Princes this Saturday at 9 p.m. to cheer on PSG against Lille. The move is not for immediately and for good reason, the club which rents the Parc des Princes will have to terminate its lease which lasts until 2043. But above all, it will take several years to build a stadium.
