Amir Abdou confirmed:

the miracle worker from the Comoros then Mauritania extended his contract with the Mourabitounes. The Franco-Comorian, at the head of the selection since 2022, sees the confidence of his federation renewed until 2026. He notably helped them to achieve the first victory in their history and secured a qualification for the historic round of 16.

Guinea-Bissau in search of renewal:

Baciro Cande will leave the Guinea-Bissau selection. The Guinea-Bissau football federation has in fact announced that it will not extend the technician's contract 56 years after the elimination of the Djurtus in the first round of CAN 2024. Arriving on the Djurtus bench in 2016, Cande qualified the team to four CANs in a row. But, he never managed to win a match in this competition.
