At the professional baseball team Seibu's camp in Nichinan City, Miyazaki Prefecture, second-year player Takuya Hiruma, who is aiming to become a regular outfielder, is energetically swinging his bat to improve his batting average.

Last season, Hiruma's first year, he played in 56 games from the middle of the season, and even hit his first professional home run, but his batting average was .232.

Hiruma, who is aiming to improve his batting average, took part in an early practice session starting at 9 a.m. on the 8th, the third day of the first round, and took batting practice. He received one-on-one guidance from batting coach Shigenobu Shima and improved his upper body during swing. I hit about 100 balls, paying close attention to how to use them, one ball at a time.

In order for the bat to come out smoothly, Hiruma said that during the camp, he focuses more on his chest than on his hand movements, so even after the general practice was over, he took batting practice again, and in about two hours he hit the ball. He was also energetically swinging the bat, hitting about 400 balls.

Hiruma said, ``I'm conscious of just hitting hard to solidify my batting form. It's the third day of camp and I'm getting tired, but I've been able to practice until I'm satisfied,'' expressing his sense of fulfillment. It was blurred.

He also expressed his enthusiasm, saying, ``This season, my goal is to have a batting average of over .280.This year, I definitely want to be a regular player and help my team win the league and become number one in Japan.''
