The Japanese women's basketball representative, who will be participating in the final world qualifying tournament for a spot at the Paris Olympics, practiced for their first match against Spain.

Japan, ranked 9th in the world, will play against Spain, ranked 4th in the world, Hungary, ranked 19th in the world, and Canada, ranked 5th in the world, in a round-robin match at the women's basketball Olympic world final qualifier to be held in Hungary, and will be among the top three teams. If you enter, you will be eligible to participate in the Paris Olympics.

On the 7th, the Japanese national team practiced at the match venue the day before their first match against Spain.

The last 15 minutes of practice were open to the press, and captain Saki Hayashi and Evelin Ma Guo were making adjustments while checking the feel of their shots.

Japan's concept for the World Final Qualifier is to be a "shooter group that runs and wins," aiming to win by making the most of their strengths, such as speed and three-point shooting ability.

Hayashi said, ``I want her to demonstrate what she's been practicing so far and earn a ticket to the Paris Olympics.I want her to play boldly from the start and run for 40 minutes to win.''

Japan's first match will be against Spain on the 9th at 12:30 a.m. Japan time, and NHK will broadcast it live on BS.
