Major League Baseball player Shohei Ohtani of the Dodgers appeared at a campsite in Arizona and conducted voluntary training. He dashed and batted without worrying about his right elbow, which he had surgery on, and showed signs of a smooth recovery ahead of the camp starting on February 9th.

Otani, who was transferred to the Dodgers this off-season, plans to focus on being a batter this season due to surgery on his right elbow last year, and is continuing to rehabilitate and train in the off-season.

Ahead of the Dodgers' battery group and rehabilitation group's camp starting on the 9th, I entered the facility at a campsite in Glendale, Arizona just after 9 a.m. on the 5th.

Otani then had a trainer pull the belt around his waist, and repeatedly performed sprints while applying stress.

He also wore a device on his chest that measures distance, speed, and heart rate, and was seen checking the data with his trainer.

Afterwards, Otani batted with a tee, appeared relaxed and smiled occasionally, and showed no signs of worrying about his right elbow, showing that he was recovering well ahead of camp.

Otani said that he is ``giving almost 100% effort'' when it comes to tee batting and toss batting, and if all goes well, he is expected to be ready in time for the opening game in South Korea on March 20th.
