The professional baseball camp in Hiroshima, held in Nichinan City, Miyazaki Prefecture, took place on the 4th, the last day of the first season. Kaito Kozono, an infielder in his sixth year as a pro, worked tirelessly from the morning, aiming to become a steady regular. I practiced.

The 4th was the first Sunday of camp, and many fans took up positions in the stands as soon as the gates opened at 9 a.m. in order to see the players up close, and 2,500 people visited the stadium in spite of the unfortunate occasional rainy weather.

Last season, Kozono did not perform well after the start of the season and spent more than two months in the second team, so he was aiming to become a regular player this year and started early to practice his defense.

I received a knock in the shortstop position, and chased the ball while being conscious of relaxing my gloved left hand in order to improve my ability to respond to the ball.

In the afternoon, we had batting practice, and reflecting on last year's lack of batting form and poor form in early spring, we swung the bat in search of a swing that would allow us to catch the ball with a high probability, and hit sharp hits centered on the center field. .

Kozono said, ``I'm feeling good this year, so strangely I'm not worried.I have to play regularly, and I'm in a position where I have to do that, so I want to prepare well for the season.''

At Nichinan Camp in Hiroshima, the 4th is the last day of the first course, and the 5th is the first holiday of the camp.
