The Women's Ski Jumping World Cup was held in Germany, and Sara Takanashi finished in second place, marking her first podium finish this season.

The tournament was held on the 3rd in Billingen, Germany, and was contested on a large hill with a hill size of 147 meters.



Three players from Japan participated: Takanashi, who has a total of 63 World Cup wins, Yuki Ito, who has two wins this season and is in second place in the overall individual ranking, and Yuka Seto.



The competition began in rainy conditions, and Takanashi was unable to improve his distance in the first attempt with a distance of 119.50 meters, finishing in 7th place.



However, in the second attempt, despite a favorable headwind, he made a strong takeoff and extended his distance to 130.50 meters, earning a total of 157.3 points and moving up five places to take second place.



This is Takanashi's first podium finish this season.



Ito, who was behind in the first round, finished in 8th place. Seto was 17th.



The winner was 33-year-old Austrian Jacqueline Seifriesberger, who jumped 125 meters in the first run and 127 meters in the second, scoring a total of 161.4 for her first win of the season and her second win in 11 seasons.
