The French rugby team is off to a bad start in the VI Nations Tournament. At the Vélodrome stadium, Fabien Galthié's men lost against Ireland.

The French XV, reduced to fourteen after the exclusion of second row Paul Willemse (32nd), was largely dominated by Ireland 38-17 on Friday at the opening of the Six Nations Tournament in Marseille.

Returning to competition, three months after their elimination in the quarter-finals of the World Cup in France, the Blues conceded five tries in a match where they suffered greatly against the defending champion. Damian Penaud and Paul Gabrillagues, authors of the two French essays, tried to sound the revolt in vain.
