In order to prevent acts of harassment between players, NPB (Japan Baseball Organization) started a training session for 12 teams from the 2nd.

Last year, in response to an incident in which pitcher Tomohiro Anraku, who was playing for professional baseball team Rakuten at the time, harassed multiple players on the same team, NPB announced that he would be harassing multiple players on the same team during the training period this spring as a measure to prevent recurrence. We are planning to hold a training session for 12 teams.

On the 2nd, NPB Secretary General Atsushi Ihara visited the Giants' dormitory where they are camping in Miyazaki City and held a training session on harassment prevention for players and leaders of the 1st and 2nd teams.

In the meeting, Director-General Ihara gave specific examples and explained, ``Anything that makes the other person feel uncomfortable, such as yelling at a junior for a long time in the locker room or playfully pouring hot water on them in the bath, is considered harassment.'' That's it.

NPB also introduced that, as part of its countermeasures, it had created a new email address exclusively for people to consult about harassment, and urged people to talk to someone if such behavior occurs within their team.

The training sessions will be held at 21 locations during the camp period for the 1st to 4th teams of the 12 teams.
