This is the fourth time that DR Congo faces Guinea in the African Cup of Nations. During the last one, in 2004, Syli National won 2-1 thanks to goals from Titi Camara and Pascal Feindouno. However, this is the first time that the two teams have met in the knockout phase.

Arriving in the quarter without having snatched the slightest victory, the Democratic Republic of Congo is still confident: “We can note two victories on a psychological level, the first is to have beaten a top 5 on penalties and the second is for not having conceded many goals,” said Gédéon Kalulu, the Leopards defender, at a press conference.

On the Guinea side, we are counting on the return to form of Naby Keita and Serhou Guirassy to turn the match around.
