Seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton will leave his Mercedes team at the end of the 2024 season to join Ferrari. The rumor of a departure had been growing in the Italian and English media since the start of the day, it is now a reality.
This is certainly the transfer of the century. Seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton will leave Mercedes at the end of the 2024 season. By the end of the upcoming season, the British driver will have spent 11 seasons at the wheel of a Mercedes, winning six titles to date champion (2014-2015-2017-2018-2019-2020).
Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team and Lewis Hamilton will part ways at the end of the 2024 season. Lewis has activated a release option in the contract announced last year.

A few minutes after Mercedes' press release, Ferrari announced the arrival of the seven-time world champion for the 2025 season for "a contract of several years".
