The basketball world champions Franz and Moritz Wagner have found their way back to success with the Orlando Magic in the NBA. After two previous defeats, the team from Florida beat the Phoenix Suns around superstar Kevin Durant 113:98. Franz Wagner only hit three of his eleven shots and ended up with eleven points, eight rebounds and seven assists. His older brother Moritz Wagner scored 16 points and collected 12 rebounds.

Devin Booker's 44 points didn't help the Suns either. In the final quarter, the team from Arizona collapsed completely and only managed four points in the last ten minutes. Orlando, which has legitimate hopes of making the playoffs in seventh place in the Eastern Conference, remained strong in nerves. The two-time NBA champion Durant remained pale with 15 points.

Schröder loses for the ninth time in the tenth game

National team captain Dennis Schröder suffered a bitter defeat at the Atlanta Hawks with the Toronto Raptors. Schröder's former team only hit the decisive basket with 1.3 seconds left to make it 126:125. For the Raptors it was the ninth defeat in the last ten games. Schröder played from the start, but remained quite inconspicuous with 14 points, three rebounds and six assists. The playoffs are far away for the Canadians in twelfth place.

The Detroit Pistons caused a surprise. The bottom team in the NBA, which had meanwhile suffered 28 defeats in a row, defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 120:104 thanks to Jalen Duren (21 points and rebounds each). The leaders in the Western Conference had previously won five games in a row.
