David Åhman and Jonatan Hellvig have not competed since Hellvig sustained a hand injury in June. Now Hellvig's injury has healed and the duo has been able to train for a couple of weeks. The 21-year-olds made a comeback at King of the Court in Tylösand, where they were big favourites. The concept means that several teams participate in the same match, where the teams compete to collect as many points as possible.

Åhman and Hellvig met the high expectations and won King of the Court after 15 points in the final round. It is the second year in a row the duo has won the tournament.

"It feels awesome. It was super fun to play today. Lots of people, nice weather, fantastic atmosphere, says David Åhman to Volleykanalen after the win.

"Something completely different"

Even though it's been a while since Jonatan Hellvig competed, top form doesn't feel far away.

"I think I'm pretty close. We have still trained well and it feels like I have quickly come back into the game, says Jonatan Hellvig.

The Swedish duo will play the European Beach Volleyball Championship in Vienna on August 2-6 where they are the defending champions. The championship is broadcast on SVT.

On the women's side, David Åhman's sister Fanny Åhman took home the victory together with Isabelle Reffel.
