Sara Thunebro, with captaincy qualifications and a World Championship bronze from 2011, has order and structure as an area of expertise. She accepted the job when asked by material manager Jessica Karlsson and praised by her colleagues in the leadership team.

– She can play in many positions in the leadership team and is a perfect signing, says Rasmus Liljeblad, football psychology advisor.

National team doctor Houman Ebrahimi:

"She's doing a fantastic job and has to be a star signing from the materials team. She has very good energy.

"I'm tearing"

Thunebro, who has made two championships at a lower level as a physical trainer, enjoys being part of the team and another championship.

"I tear and pull and print clothes and sort and stuff like that. There is quite a lot of laundry every day to be structured. It is full from eight o'clock in the morning until ten in the evening. Sometimes I need to roar when I need to go to bed.

"As a player you get a lot of recovery, but it's not a lot as a leader.

Even the preparations for the championship are different compared to when she was away as a player.

"I haven't prepared one bit, I'll say. I turned on the World Cup mode when I landed here. It's not like when you were a player and fought a whole year before the championship.

In the leadership team is her old roommate from the national team era, Victoria Sandell, who is an assistant coach on the team.

"Feels like good old days"

Sandell describes herself as orderly, but even her clothes could get a new fold from Thunebro.

"It's great that she's involved and feels like in the good old days," says Sandell.

She hopes that the experienced duo is in the leadership team.

"I hope it's only positive. We have a lot of experience and hope to contribute. Even when it comes to everything around and feeling good off the pitch.
