According to a Saudi report, on Wednesday, the Saudi club Al-Ittihad completed the procedures for contracting with French midfielder N'Golo Kante, one day after signing his compatriot Karim Benzema, former captain of Real Madrid.

The news station said, in its Twitter account, "Al Ittihad Club has completed the procedures for the inclusion of Frenchman N'Golo Kante from Chelsea in a record deal that extends for two seasons with the option to renew for an additional third season."

If Kante, whose contract with the Blues expires at the end of this month and contributed to France's victory in the 2018 World Cup and is one of the most prominent defensive midfielders, joins the new episode in the transfer of major stars to the Saudi league.

According to available information, Kante's salary per season is up to 100 million euros and includes image rights, business deals and other perks.

The information adds that Kante has passed major medical examinations in London.
