An information already mentioned on the set of "Europe 1 Sport" by the director general of the FFT Tuesday evening.

Basketball at Roland-Garros. It is now official, game 3 of the final of the France basketball championship will be played at Porte d'Auteuil on Thursday evening, June 15, a first for the tournament. Victor Wembanyama and his teammates from Boulogne-Levallois will play at home on Court Philippe-Chatrier. On this occasion, the Mets 92 will face Monaco. A match 4 could also take place again at Roland Garros, this time, two days later, on Saturday, June 17. An information that had already been mentioned on the set of the program Europe 1 Sport, Tuesday evening, by the director general of the French Tennis Federation, Caroline Flaissier.

A meeting was organized at the end of the afternoon at Roland-Garros to discuss the organization of this unprecedented event. Caroline Flaissier had evoked "a possibility" which is now confirmed. "The teams are very motivated," assured the director general of the FFT. The organizers of Roland-Garros must now "find technical solutions" since the tournament will be at that time in "phase of dismantling the stadium".

A start in apotheosis for "Wemby"

This announcement sounds like a "starting pot" in apotheosis for the French prodigy Victor Wembanyama who must fly to the United States, in the NBA, at the end of the season. Registered in the Draft, the Mets 92 player is expected to join the San Antonio Spurs franchise next season. For his farewell, "Wemby" and Boulogne-Levallois wanted to evolve in front of several thousand people, the Marcel-Cerdan room in Levallois can only accommodate 2,800 people.

Several options were on the table such as a match 3 at Paris-Bercy or at the Defense-Arena. It was finally Roland-Garros that was chosen. As the center court can accommodate about 15,000 people, basketball fans will be able to attend a great basketball game. Or even a second if the opportunity arises.
