After a lower tempo first half and a chopped-up game with many blowouts, things opened up a lot more in the second half.

Already 55 seconds into the half, team captain Johan Larsson was in front and pushed in the lead goal. After the goal, both teams had both half chances and clear scoring chances.

Then Joel Asoro ran on a deep ball and he lobbed the ball over the onrushing Hakon Valdimarsson in Elfsborg's goal. Victor Edvardsen caught up with the ball and pushed in his second goal of the season, which he celebrated by kissing the club badge on his shirt.

Elfsborg chased a lead goal, but Edvardsen's equaliser would be decisive. With his second goal of the season, he stopped Elfsborg's crazy winning streak of eight games in a row.

"I didn't dare take a chance if Joel's ball went in, I did a little Inzaghi ugly," Edvardsen told Discovery+.

However, it was close that he would not come with the match squad to Borås.

"I almost didn't come down here. I have had difficulty breathing with both pollen and asthma, extra nice to contribute. I did a good training yesterday and decided with the coaches that I would go with it. Pollen and asthma in combo, it is not easy to breathe then. Our doctors have given me good medicine so I can keep up," he says.
