Liverpool interested in Koné

Liverpool FC is said to have entered the poker game for midfield talent Manu Koné from Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach. This is reported by the »Sport Bild«. The English Premier League club with coach Jürgen Klopp have already contacted Koné's management and deposited their interest in the 22-year-old.

The intentions of the Reds were "real and big", it was said from the environment of the Frenchman. Since Tuesday, Jörg Schmadtke, who was once under contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach as a player and assistant coach, has been supporting Liverpool's transfer efforts as the new sporting director.

Gladbach are said to be considering 40 to 45 million euros as a possible transfer fee for Koné. The defensive midfielder's contract with the Borussians runs until 30 June 2025.

Inter Milan knock on Pavard's door

Champions League finalists Inter Milan apparently want to sign Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard. According to Corriere dello Sport, the 27-year-old does not want to extend his contract with FC Bayern, which runs until 2024, and wants to move to Milan early.

In the case of the Lombards, he is expected to replace the Slovak Milan Škriniar, from whom the Nerazzurri want to part. Inter are reportedly willing to invest €20 million in Pavard, 2018 World Cup winner. However, it is still unclear whether Bayern want to let the ex-Stuttgart player go for this sum.

In the ninth place of the English championship, Flekken signed a four-year contract. The transfer fee is said to be 13 million euros.

"This is a completely new chapter for me and the next big step in my career," said Flekken. The Dutch national goalkeeper moved to Freiburg from MSV Duisburg in 2018.
