Bengal throwing, shots and fights with police officers created a great stir and a long break during Sunday's derby between Djurgården and AIK. Scenes that Sports Minister Jakob Forssmed (KD) believes that football must put its foot down against in order for it never to happen again.

"We must ensure that the clubs do everything they can to ensure that these types of scenes are not repeated," he said, referring to the meeting that Justice Minister Gunnar Strömmer called the Swedish Football Association to.

Swedish Elite Football's Secretary General Johan Lindvall agrees that football must put in efforts to avoid this type of scene, but also highlights another part of the picture.

"We should also remember that football itself is an extremely positive force. Five million Swedes have a connection to an Allsvenskan football team and 95 percent say that they feel safe when they walk in the stadium. This is happening and we have to take it very seriously, but we have an extremely positive force in football as well."
