IFK Göteborg started the derby strongest away against BK Häcken. Already after two minutes, Marcus Berg had a great chance to set the lead goal. But Peter Abrahamsson saved the shot. And a quarter of an hour into the game, the home team took the lead instead, after a quick attack where the ball was passed around quickly between several Häcken players, Lars Olden Larsen finally scored the lead goal.

After just over half an hour played, however, came the equalizer. Berg chested the ball to Gustaf Norling who pushed the 1-1 goal.

Samuel Gustafson was not happy with the team's performance in the halftime interview.

"The first 30 minutes we have the game where we want it. Last 15, damn what we're doing. We stop pressing and are lazy in the second-ball game," he told Discovery+.

In the second half it was the Mikkel Rygaard show. First he pushed the 2-1 goal. And minutes later, he heeled the ball forward to Benie Traore who extended the lead to 3-1.

Substitute 17-year-old Pontus Dahbo also managed to extend to 4-1 before the game was over.
