King Kylian IV extends his reign with a fourth consecutive title of best player of the season, Sunday at the UNFP Trophies. A new record for the voracious Mbappé, captain of the France team and Paris Saint-Germain. He now surpasses Zlatan Ibrahimovic, three times crowned with this prize awarded by the players' union (UNFP) since 1994, where the winners are chosen by the vote of their peers.

The 24-year-old spoke of his "pride". "To leave my name in the history of my country's championship is extraordinary, it's what I've always wanted, I didn't think I was going to succeed so quickly," he said.

Kylian Mbappé is ahead of his teammate Lionel Messi, absent at the ceremony at the Gabriel pavilion, a stone's throw from the Champs-Élysées. His trophy was presented to him by his coach, Didier Deschamps, and his first words were for his teammate Sergio Rico, substitute goalkeeper, victim Sunday morning of a serious horse accident in Andalusia: "There are much more important things than football, the whole club is with him, I wanted to have a sense of priorities by talking about it first," Mbappe said.
