Djurgården won the derby against AIK with 1-0 – but all the talk afterwards was about the scandal scenes that caused the match to be suspended for an hour.

"I can't remember experiencing scenes like this, being so ruthless for a football match. A black day for AIK," says Bosse Andersson.

AIK's coach Andreas Brännström told Discovery after the game that he felt complicit in the grandstand scandal.

"I said it seconds after the game. We have lost a derby and made people angry and disappointed. You feel ashamed when you go to work tomorrow," he elaborated at the press conference afterwards.

"A lot of frustration"

In the stands, banners were visible during the match demanding the resignation of both Brännström's and AIK's CEO Manuel Lindberg.

"It's nothing strange, there's a lot of frustration and of course I have some of the responsibility. That's perfectly natural in this business. This industry is unforgiving," Lindberg said.

Bosse Andersson notes that both Swedish football and AIK are facing major challenges.

"The strength of Swedish football is the engamang, the crowd, the setting. This is a slap on the jaw. It is not good for Swedish football and not good for AIK in the situation they are. They need to unite and start winning football matches, now there will be discussions on issues other than football.
