In the final round, the duel between Chelsea and Manchester United was decided for the league gold in the Women's Super League. A draw against table jumbo Reading was enough for Chelsea, who finished with victory.

The opening goal came after just over a quarter of an hour, Australian striker Sam Kerr nodding in his eleventh goal of the season on Guro Reiten's post. And the forward Norwegian was then the one who extended the guests' lead.

Reading defenders were careless and the 26-year-old rolled in 2-0 to Chelsea. Her eighth goal this season.

Five league titles

Meanwhile, Manchester United did their part to challenge, 1-0 against Liverpool, but Chelsea's advantage was never threatened. Chelsea, with Magdalena Eriksson in the starting line-up and Johanna Rytting Kaneryd and Zecira Musovic on the bench, controlled the second half with Kerr scoring twice in the final minutes.

3–0 victory for Chelsea, who could celebrate their fourth consecutive league title, after what was defender Magdalena Eriksson's last game. In tears, the defender told me that she will leave the club after the season.

Eriksson joined Chelsea in 2017, during her years in London she won a total of twelve titles, including becoming domestic league champion five times.
