Marco Asensio will leave Real Madrid at the end of the season, as confirmed by EL MUNDO. The player has made this decision after having rejected the offer of renewal of the white club, as Relay advanced.

His representative, Jorge Mendes, and the club's general director, José Ángel Sánchez, had been in talks since December. Madrid had presented him with an offer that improved his current contract a little, but relegated him to a substitute role with which the Mallorcan, at 27 years old, was not entirely satisfied. Asensio has received proposals from the Premier League and PSG, and will assess his options in the coming weeks.

His departure opens the door to Kubo and Brahim, who had to leave the Bernabeu in recent years, finding no space, but whom Real Madrid has kept on the radar.

Asensio's numbers

The former Mallorca player leaves Real Madrid with a great track record. He has won three Champions Leagues, four Club World Cups, three European Super Cups, three La Ligas, three Spanish Super Cups and one Copa del Rey.

He arrived at Real Madrid in the 16/17 season. During this time he has played 285 games, scored 61 goals and provided 32 assists. His role this season has been rather discreet, usually starting from the bench.
