Benson (formerly Normann) hadn't competed since last summer, but it wasn't noticeable when she won the 10-meter standing air rifle at the World Cup opener in South Korea.

"So nice to be back again and I'm really happy with my performance today, it couldn't have gone any better. There are those who have said that "now that you've had children, you won't be back for years". Such comments excite me and often I get better the greater the challenges I face, says Benson in a press release, and continues:

"I'd say I'm better than ever now.

"Just step on the gas"

The victory meant that Sweden secured a quota place for next year's Paralympics in Paris.

"Of course, it means a lot to secure a place in Paris. Now I can continue to follow my plan and just accelerate towards Paris," said Benson, who has three more days of competition left in South Korea – where Benson is aiming high.

"A world record of 3x40 wouldn't have been completely wrong.
