Bayern will have to hope for a slip-up from Dortmund

Championship, Champions League, relegation: In the Bundesliga final, the big questions will be answered. The only thing that is certain is that it will be tight.

Championship: 70 points, two points ahead of Bayern MunichBorussia Dortmund have their first championship in their own hands since 2012. A win in the home game against FSV Mainz 05 on Saturday is definitely enough. Even if Bayern do not win at 1. FC Köln at the same time, coach Edin Terzić's team is sure to secure the trophy.

The big title party at Borsigplatz will only burst if the Munich team wins and Dortmund does not beat Mainz.

Champions League: Dortmund, Bayern and RB Leipzig have already secured the Champions League. In the long-distance duel between Union Berlin and SC Freiburg, the fourth and last place is at stake. Both surprise teams are tied on points with 59 points. Should the Berliners defeat Werder Bremen, the Champions League qualification would be hard to take away from them. To do so, Freiburg would have to win at Eintracht Frankfurt and also make up for the goal difference, which is four goals worse.

In addition, whoever scores more points in the last game will play against the best in Europe. In the event of a double draw, Union would have an advantage. In the event of a double defeat, too, as long as the goal difference plays along.

Europa League and Conference League: The loser of the long-distance duel between Union and Freiburg moves into the Europa League in fifth place. Who follows them there will also depend on the DFB Cup final between RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt on 3 June. If Leipzig, who have qualified for the Champions League, will also play sixth in the Europa League and seventh in the Conference League play-offs. If Frankfurt, currently eighth, wins the cup final, the Bundesliga sixth will compete in the Conference League.

Bayer Leverkusen (50 points) are currently there. However, seventh-placed VfL Wolfsburg (49 points) can still displace the Werkself. Frankfurt (47 points) could also reach seventh place and qualify for the Conference League even if they lose in the cup final.

Relegation:Hertha BSC has already been relegated – what else? Schalke 04 (31 points), VfL Bochum and VfB Stuttgart (both 32 points) make up the second direct relegation among themselves. If the Royal Blues lose in Leipzig, they will certainly go back to League Two. If the competition wins their games, not even a win will help Schalke. In the event of a draw of their own, the miners could save themselves in 16th place in the relegation zone if Bochum loses to Leverkusen. Bochum would then be relegated directly. Stuttgart will follow the Berliners into the second division if they do not defeat TSG Hoffenheim, but Schalke and Bochum win. If they win, VfB will be saved.

FC Augsburg (34 points) could still slip to 16th place. For that, however, Stuttgart and Bochum would have to win and FCA would have to lose in Mönchengladbach.

This is the situation in the 2nd Bundesliga

Promotion:Darmstadt 98 (67 points) has already made the return to the Bundesliga perfect, behind them two teams are still fighting for the second direct promotion place - with better cards for 1. FC Heidenheim (64 points). If coach Frank Schmidt's team wins at almost certain relegation Jahn Regensburg on Sunday, FCH will be the 57th club in Bundesliga history.

If Heidenheim fails, Hamburger SV (63 points) will return to the top flight after five years with a win at SV Sandhausen, which has already been relegated. In the event of a Heidenheim defeat with at least a six-goal difference, even a draw would be enough for HSV. The loser of the long-distance duel plays in the relegation for promotion to the Bundesliga.

Relegation/relegation: Sandhausen (28 points) is already relegated to the 3rd league, and Regensburg (31 points) would need a great football miracle to catch Arminia Bielefeld (34 points) in the relegation place with a goal difference worse by 15 goals. Therefore, the last matchday is really only about the participant in the relegation.

Bielefeld will definitely have to win at 1. FC Magdeburg in order to be able to leave 16th place, as 1. FC Nürnberg and Eintracht Braunschweig (36 points each) have two more points on their account. If Nuremberg (at SC Paderborn) and Braunschweig (at Hansa Rostock) win, they will also play in the 2nd league next season. In the event of a draw and a Bielefeld victory, the goal difference would be decisive – here Arminia (-8) goes into the showdown with advantages over Nuremberg (-18) and Braunschweig (-16).
